So you want to learn to upholster or make soft furnishings?

Joining one of our upholstery courses, roman blind courses, or curtain making courses is a great way to have fun at the same time as learning new upholstery skills, or improving your existing soft furnishing techniques. You'll also meet like minded people with a passion for furniture renovation and soft furnishings.

Based in Almondbury just outside Huddersfield our weekly schedule of morning, afternoon and evening upholstery courses and soft furnishing courses allow you to develop your skills in our bright and spacious workshop and in a friendly environment. We teach modern and traditional upholstery techniques at all levels so there is something for everyone. Local shops in Almondbury village provide a variety of opportunities to buy lunch or browse for gifts or even clothes.

You can bring your own piece of furniture or buy one of our sample pieces for a small cost - all we ask is that you check with us prior to attending the course to make sure your item is suitable, or that we have a suitable item available. For soft furnishing courses all material is available to buy from us.

Upholstery class sizes are small to ensure you get the most out of the experience, and at the end of a few days you will begin to see the results of your newly acquired upholstery skills. Like most of our students, you may well "get the bug".

There is plenty of free parking space available within the grounds of Thorpe Grange Manor.
